Out the Gate on a Sunny Afternoon in October

On October 5, after working hard on boat projects all day, we motored out to Richardson Bay and anchored out for the night.  The next morning, we sailed out the gate.  There wasn’t a lot of wind, but enough to sail, and the day was gorgeous.  We sailed 11.2 nm, leaving about noon for about four hours, and our top speed was only 5.4 knots, mostly sailing at only about 3.5 knots.  Hey, but with a day like this, who’s complaining?
